The Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market fills the front and back plazas of the Ferry Building with Northern California growers, ranchers and food makers, and Foodwise runs free chef demos in its green Classroom tent on many Saturdays. It runs 8 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Ferry Building, Embarcadero at Market St, steps from Embarcadero BART/Muni and the ferry terminal. Free to browse. Saturday is the big day, with the most vendors and the biggest crowds; arrive before 10 a.m. for the best produce.
