Cinespin: He Who Gets Slapped with Live Jazz
About
BAMPFA's student committee presents its annual silent-film-plus-live-score night: Victor Sjöström's 1924 He Who Gets Slapped, starring Lon Chaney as a vengeful circus clown, accompanied by the Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective. Friday, Nov 20 at 7:30 pm (92 minutes) at 2155 Center Street, Berkeley, by Downtown Berkeley BART; free, with tickets released at the admissions desk from 6:30 pm. Free live-scored silents are rare outside the Castro's festival screenings, so arrive early for a seat.
