A spoken-word evening that starts with a workshop (a freewrite, a reading, discussion and structured writing, with an optional share-out) from 6 to 7 PM, then an open mic from 7:15 to 8:30 PM; October's featured poet is Jordan Ranft. It runs Tuesday, October 27, 6–9 PM, at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High Street, Sebastopol (drive/park). Prices start at $0.00: the workshop is $5, $10, $15 or $20, and there is an open-mic-only option. SebArts' Poetic Medicine (November 10) and Prescription for Poetry (November 20) sessions are also on our calendar for writers who want more.
